CMC is a small indoor cattery, family´ owned and located in Buenos Aires - Argentina. We are in the American continent and in the South hemisphere that is an isolated area respect to North-Central Western World. But in fact it is well communicated and with a lot fly connections in the actual globalise world.
We have and breed cats like hobby. We do all that with passion, caring them with a lot of love and attention. This brought us a bigger pleasure and joy.
CMC are mainly focused in Siamese and their breed group: Orientals SH & LH, Balinese and Peterbald. Our goals and purposes are bettering and improve our breeds and their population. We are fortunate enough to be breeding and selecting bloodlines from long time ago, 1990. Almost, at this time they are 20 lovely years that allow us to view the evolutions of different catteries, bloodlines and individuals cats from our own breeding or from others. We believe that time is very important and show “real essences”.
Normally we strive to bring into being strong and health kittens with lovely good temper and friendly personalities with the best type possible. We believe that this kind of exquisite beauty is in the modern OR/SI type, this extreme appearance is given by distinctive esthetical expressions of a triangular sculpture head with a long profile and extreme ear-set, their gracefulness figure and their long lines combine with elegant movements.
We are devoted to breeding quality cats to our own taste and following our Standards interpretation. Standard is a guide or direction and our taste is the way to follow. Our goals are achieved through our selective breeding process that allow us be able to produce lovely pets (cats or kittens) that meet their breed standard in good type to raise healthy and well socialized. That is the "end result" of lots of hard work, time and money included.
We deal with several colours, mainly solid colours even cinnamon. From time to time we also have tabbies with and excepcionally silver mainly in ticked or spotted pattern and not often few bicolour. We specially love chocolate but colour never will be so important like TYPE.
Nowadays our cat not visit frequently show halls as we used to even just a few years ago when we continue dedicated to retain Championship status from Peterbald Breed in TICA; because we are sure of our cats (chosen in our own experience and taste) and we don’t need them like winning pieces to feed or reinforce personal insecurities or ego. Shows results will never change our feelings, points of view, election choices or values about them. Apart of all that, the main reason is that we never use our hobby - cats to get public or personal satisfaction, we felt that in general people not enjoy shows, owner and breeder have a little or total blindness over their animals and there are in general a deterioration in the quality of judgments as well, but from time to time we assist to few Cat´ Show.
We’ll never be able to express just how much our life have been enriched through our hobby experiences and those few good friend that we found with this "passion".
